BIOGRAPHY
Benjamin Hochman

Born in Jerusalem, Benjamin Hochman completed his music studies at the Conservatory of the Rubin Academy in Tel Aviv, then at age 16, he came to Philadelphia’s Curtis Institute of Music where he studied with Claude Frank. After graduating from Curtis, he went on to the Mannes College of Music in New York where he studied with Richard Goode. Mr. Hochman won the prestigious Avery Fisher Career Grant in 2011 and has performed as soloist with all the major orchestras and conductors. In addition to his work as a soloist, he is much in demand as a chamber musician, working with an array of renowned musicians and chamber groups around the world. His interest in and passion for the orchestral repertoire led him to earn a degree in conducting from the Juilliard School of Music. Mr. Hochman has also been a Steinway Artist since 2009.
