BIOGRAPHY
Anne Akiko Meyers
Anne Akiko Meyers, a native of California, is an internationally acclaimed violin soloist. She studied under the most prestigious violin pedagogues at Indiana University and the Juilliard School, graduating from Juilliard at 20 years old. Declared a child prodigy, she appeared with the New York Philharmonic at age 12, recorded her first album in London at the Abbey Road Studios at 16, and signed with RCA Victor Red Seal at 21. She has performed with all the great orchestras and has commissioned many works by contemporary composers including Winton Marsalis. She was the top-selling classical instrumentalist (2014) on Billboard’s traditional classical charts.
